Rockhurst University’s Center for Arts and Letters and the Office of Alumni and Constituent Relations invite you to “Ceremony of Lessons and Carols” performed by the University Chorus and Chamber Singers on Saturday, Dec. 1.

7 p.m. | Ceremony of Lessons and Carols

A 25-voice chorus will fill Arrupe Hall Auditorium for the 100th anniversary of the 1918 King’s College, Cambridge University, original. This popular Christmas concert features works by Beethoven and Holst and music from other lands. Readings from the Old and New Testaments representing the Christmas story are interspersed throughout the program.

8:15 p.m. | Christmas Reception

Audience members are invited to a post-concert reception of holiday refreshments in Arrupe Hall Lobby.

The concert and reception are free, but please bring a nonperishable food item for families in need. These items will be distributed during the holiday season to people in the Saint Francis Xavier parish and the surrounding neighborhood.
