Film Series - La Tête en friche (My Afternoons with Margueritte)

The Rockhurst Film Series and the university’s Department of Modern Languages will present three films on consecutive Thursdays in September. Faculty will introduce the films and conduct post-film discussions. Screenings begin at 7 p.m. in Arrupe Hall Auditorium. Admission is free.

La Tête en friche (My Afternoons with Margueritte) (2010, France)

Germain, a 45-year-old illiterate handyman, who has not had much luck in life, meets Margueritte, a highly educated 95-year-old woman who spends her days reading about the world she used to travel. Sharing a park bench, both discover that they have more to share than their love of pigeons. Directed by Jean Becker.
