Join Rockhurst University and STEAM Studio for a four-day workshop designed to show K-8 educators how they can leverage design thinking to reshape their curriculum and engage their students.

 

Design thinking integrates the process-intensive approach of project-based learning with the principles students need to develop communication and collaboration skills vital for success in future careers.

 

All K-8 educators are invited to this workshop, during which they will :

  • Learn to use design thinking to refine and improve curriculum.
  • Learn to infuse design thinking into standards-based curriculum.
  • Network with other innovative, passionate classroom leaders.
  • Earn 24 professional development contact hours.

 

Sessions will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, July 16 through Thursday, July 19, in Rockhurst University’s Arrupe Hall and in the STEAM Studio loft at Gould Evans’ Westport offices.
