Dr. Stack has studied the business and economic history of the brewing industry in the U.S. He has published numerous articles on domestic and international beer markets, has been a presenter at beer industry conferences, and is currently researching the rise of craft brewing in the U.S. and across the globe.

This years’ event will discuss a business trend that has generated some strong reactions from consumers and brewers alike: the buying and selling of entire craft breweries.   In reviewing the reasons for and controversies surrounding this trend, we will discuss what has happened, why, and what it all means.
