The AFP Teaches Fundraising Concentration program, offered as a part of the nonprofit leadership studies major, is a partnership between Rockhurst and the Mid America Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP). The program provides hands-on, interactive training in the area of fundraising and offers an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of this increasingly important field. Students are exposed to cutting-edge research and trends in the field of fundraising, tapping into the best and brightest resources of the AFP Mid America Chapter. Students within the program have opportunities for formal and informal interaction with the AFP members who teach the courses.

The certificate programs consist of 15 upper-division credit hours in addition to one three-hour prerequisite, Introduction to Nonprofit Organizations.
