Individual Counseling
The Counseling Center provides individual counseling on a short-term basis. Clients typically attend between 2 - 10 sessions, depending on the needs of the individual and the nature of their concerns. A wide variety of issues can be addressed including adjusting to college, managing stress and anxiety, dealing with depression, improving relationships with family or friends, changing behavior patterns, grief and loss issues, drug and alcohol use and eating disorders. Typically clients meet with a counselor on a bi-weekly basis and sessions are scheduled for 50 minutes.
Telehealth
Embracing the convenience and accessibility of modern technology, we are proud to offer telehealth individual therapy services. Whether you're navigating a busy schedule, studying remotely, or simply prefer the comfort of your own space, our telehealth sessions provide a confidential and supportive environment for your therapeutic journey. Our skilled counselors are committed to delivering the same high-quality care and personalized attention you would receive in person, ensuring that you can access the support you need from the comfort of your own surroundings. If you're ready to embark on a path of personal growth and well-being, consider exploring the possibilities of telehealth individual therapy with us. Your mental health is our priority, and we're here to support you wherever you are.
Outreach & Workshops
Part of our service mission is outreach that focuses on prevention, student development and wellness. We are committed to work closely with faculty, staff and students to support student academic success. If you are interested in having a program presented to your organizations, classes, or residence halls, please contact us. The followings are a few of the outreach topics that are frequently requested: anxiety, depression, communication, eating concerns and body image, family issues, relationships, self-esteem, sexual responsibility, substance abuse, stress management and trauma response.
