Rockhurst University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Theology & Religious Studies. Candidates must possess a Ph.D. by time of appointment in August 2017 and be able to teach an Introduction to World Religions course. We are looking for candidates with research specialization in Judaism or Islam, with the ability to teach elective courses in the tradition of their specialization as well as teach an elective survey course in the other tradition. The Department of English in the College of Arts and Sciences at Rockhurst University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor, emphasis 19th-Century British Literature with ability to teach history of British literature at the survey level. Preference given to candidates with a robust secondary focus, such as Women’s and Gender Studies, visual rhetoric, race studies, professional writing, digital humanities, composition and rhetoric, social justice, linguistics. The Department of Mathematics at Rockhurst University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning in August 2017. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics. Candidates with the experience necessary to teach a range of probability and statistics courses are particularly encouraged to apply. Tenure Track Assistant Professor in Occupational Therapy Education
The Search Committee invites applications for an 11 month tenure track Assistant Professor in Occupational Therapy Education which is located in the College of Health and Human Services. The College has 5 academic departments including Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Communication Sciences and Disorders, Education and Exercise and Sport Science.
Responsibilities of this tenure track position include teaching, collaborating with the Academic Fieldwork Coordinator on various fieldwork assignments, advising students, engaging in scholarship and involvement in university, department and professional service.
Required: The candidate must:
• Have a doctoral degree from an accredited university in occupational therapy or related degree or have made significant progress towards a doctoral degree
• Be eligible for OT licensure in Missouri
• Have at least 3 years clinical experience in adult and/or geriatric rehabilitation
• Have a demonstrated record of continued professional development
• Have excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
Preferred: The candidate will:
• Have teaching experience at the university level
• Have a demonstrated record of scholarship

The Department of Psychology at Rockhurst University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in social cognitive psychology beginning August 2017.
The successful candidate will provide evidence of excellence in teaching and will be an active scholar capable of developing a research program that involves undergraduate students. Standard teaching load is 18 credit hours (3 courses each in fall and spring).
A PhD in Psychology must be completed by time of appointment (ABDs with a documented plan of completion by appointment date will be considered). Candidates will be expected to teach Introduction to Psychology, either Research Methods or Experimental Methods, Statistics, and courses in their areas of specialization.
The Department of Psychology is located in the College of Arts and Sciences, and consists of 8 tenured faculty members representing most major areas of psychology. The Department is the second largest in the college, graduating an average of 70-80 students each year.
